Unemployment rate by country API: World Bank ILO estimates
Unemployment rate of any country from World Bank data (ILO modelled estimates): total unemployment and youth unemployment (ages 15-24) as % of the labour force, for the last 1-10 years with the newest year first. Country by ISO code (SE, SWE) or English name. Read from a committed World Bank Open Data snapshot (CC BY 4.0), so every call answers at once; the snapshot date is in the answer. Use for labour-market and macro questions.
When to use it
- Get a country's unemployment rate and youth unemployment rate for the last 1-10 years
- Compare labour markets across countries by ISO code or name
- Add labour-market context to an economic answer

Request
Over HTTP, with a card key from /credits:
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer adt_…" "https://agent-data-tools.revmesh2074.workers.dev/econ/unemployment?country=SE"
Or one of your 25 free calls, no key:
curl "https://agent-data-tools.revmesh2074.workers.dev/econ/unemployment?country=SE&trial=1"
Without a key, the same URL answers 402 Payment Required with x402 and MPP terms, so an agent with a wallet pays per call in USDC (Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, Monad, World Chain or Tempo) and retries.

Questions
Where does the data come from?
A committed snapshot of World Bank Open Data (CC BY 4.0), ILO modelled estimates; the snapshot date is in every answer.
Is it seasonally adjusted monthly data?
No. The series are annual rates as % of the labour force.
How do I pay?
Each successful call costs $0.01; failed calls are not charged. The first 25 calls are free. Then pay with card credits (from $5) or per call in USDC over x402 or MPP. No account or API key is needed.
