Reverse geocoding: place name from coordinates
Turn latitude and longitude into place names: the nearest populated place and the largest one within the radius (usually the town or city the point is in), with country and ISO code, administrative region, population, distance and Wikidata id, plus the other places nearby. Data from Wikidata (CC0). Use to label GPS points, photos, deliveries or IP-derived coordinates; for place name to coordinates use geocode.
Inputs
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
lat (required) | number | Latitude (-90 to 90) |
lon (required) | number | Longitude (-180 to 180) |
radius | number | Search radius in km, 1-50 (default 10) |
Request
Over HTTP, with a card key from /credits:
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer adt_…" "https://agent-data-tools.revmesh2074.workers.dev/geocode/reverse?lat=59.3293&lon=18.0686"
Or one of your 25 free calls, no key:
curl "https://agent-data-tools.revmesh2074.workers.dev/geocode/reverse?lat=59.3293&lon=18.0686&trial=1"
Without a key, the same URL answers 402 Payment Required with x402 and MPP terms, so an agent with a wallet pays per call in USDC (Base, Polygon, Arbitrum or Solana over x402; Base or Tempo over MPP) and retries.
