Inflation rate by country API: World Bank consumer prices
Inflation rate of any country: annual % change in consumer prices (CPI) from World Bank data, for the last 1-10 years with the newest year first. Country by ISO code (SE, SWE) or English name. Read from a committed World Bank Open Data snapshot (CC BY 4.0), so every call answers at once; the snapshot date is in the answer. Use for real-return, pricing and macro questions.
When to use it
- Get a country's annual consumer-price inflation for the last 1-10 years
- Deflate prices or returns with the official CPI change
- Compare inflation across countries by ISO code or name
Inputs
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
country (required) | string | ISO 3166 code (SE, SWE) or English country name (Sweden) |
years | integer | Years of history to return, 1-10 (default 5) |
Request
Over HTTP, with a card key from /credits:
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer adt_…" "https://agent-data-tools.revmesh2074.workers.dev/econ/inflation?country=SE"
Or one of your 25 free calls, no key:
curl "https://agent-data-tools.revmesh2074.workers.dev/econ/inflation?country=SE&trial=1"
Without a key, the same URL answers 402 Payment Required with x402 and MPP terms, so an agent with a wallet pays per call in USDC (Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, Monad, World Chain or Tempo) and retries.
