BIC/SWIFT code check: structure, country and branch
Check a BIC (SWIFT code) against the ISO 9362 structure: institution code, a real country code with its name, location code, branch code, whether it is the head office (XXX or 8 characters), a test BIC or a passive participant, and the 11-character form. Computed locally; it checks the format and country, not whether the bank exists. Use before an international transfer or to clean payment data; for account numbers use validate_iban.
Inputs
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
bic (required) | string | BIC / SWIFT code, 8 or 11 characters |
Request
Over HTTP, with a card key from /credits:
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer adt_…" "https://agent-data-tools.revmesh2074.workers.dev/bic/validate?bic=DEUTDEFF500"
Or one of your 25 free calls, no key:
curl "https://agent-data-tools.revmesh2074.workers.dev/bic/validate?bic=DEUTDEFF500&trial=1"
Without a key, the same URL answers 402 Payment Required with x402 and MPP terms, so an agent with a wallet pays per call in USDC (Base, Polygon, Arbitrum or Solana over x402; Base or Tempo over MPP) and retries.
